Mildred Pauline Kimery Carriger

MILDRED KIMERY CARRIGER - Austin, Texas Mildred Pauline Kimery Carriger, 84, died Friday, November 19, 2004 at Seton Medical Center, Austin, Texas after a brief illness. Mildred was the daughter of the late Max Jerome Kimery and Aileen Patry Moore Kimery of the Asbury Community in Limestone, TN. Born October 9, 1920, she was a native of Limestone and resided in Elizabethton and Kingsport, TN prior to moving to Texas in 1957. A graduate of East Tennessee State College, Johnson City, TN, she taught school ten years in Sullivan County, TN and was both principal and teacher for many years at St. Johns Episcopal School, Dallas TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maples Leonard Carriger, Jr. in 1979; son, Douglas Leonard Carriger, in 2003; a young sister, Zazle Doris Kimery; brother, James Louden Kimery; and stepbrother, Robert Eldridge Kimery. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands: Tommy Roger and Linda Aileen Carriger Dillow, Jonesborough, TN; Fairis (Buddy) and Judith Ann Carriger Tarver, Dallas, TX; Melvin and Elizabeth Kimberly Carriger Stephenson McReynolds, Austin TX; eight grandchildren: Samuel Saxon Tarver, Rowlette, TX; Mark Tarver, Richardson, TX; Sharon Elizabeth Dillow Keplinger; Johnson City, TN; Thomas Maxwell Dillow, Limestone, TN; Kimberly Ann Carriger Rollice, Tahlequah, OK; Heather Ann Carriger Bratcher, Forney, TX; James A. Stephenson and Amy Elizabeth Stephenson Friday, Austin, TX; eight great grandchildren: Molly Kimery and Kathryn Marie Keplinger, Johnson City, TN; Dominic and Gabrielle Rollice, Tahlequah, OK; Emily and Lilly Banks Tarver, Rowlette, TX; Tanner and MacKenzee Bratcher, Forney, TX; nephew, Jerry Wayne Kimery, and nieces, Kimberly, Barbara, and Paula Kimery all of Enid Oklahoma; sisters-in-law: Doris Carriger Stone, Jonesborough, TN; Eloise Carriger Taylor, Newark, DE.
