Our precious beloved Millie D. is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She left this earth on Friday, March 18, 2005 and will forever be missed and remembered by her bereaved family and friends. Mildred was born to Chris and Ollie England, a real pioneer West Texas, ranching family, in a small town near Winters, Texas. During the early years she and sister Merle learned the great values of life...God, Family, Country, Love, Character and morals that made her the loving, dear great lady she was. She was educated in schools in West, Texas while living with her dear aunt, Code Morris, in San Angelo, Texas. In the very early years of World War II she married David Payne, who gave his life defending our nation. Shortly after, she moved to Luling, Texas to be with her sister. She met Bill Dismukes, they were married and moved to Austin, Texas to begin their wonderful life together. While Bill attended Pharmacy college at the University of Texas, Mildred worked, raising their son David and encouraging Bill in his education. He has said many times, that if it were not for Mildred he would never have graduated, whatever success they had belonged to her. Mildred was always there as a beloved and devoted partner with her words of encouragement and her loving ways. Mildred loved the Lord and served him 41 years at Hyde Park Baptist Church, where Bill was a Deacon. Together they continued this devotion at Great Hills Baptist Church. She never sought credit or recognition for her achievements and lived her life so that others could see Christ in her life. She dearly loved and adored her husband, son, and grandchildren. She was lovingly known as Muvie. Life will never be the same for those that knew and loved her. Mildred was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie England, infant brother, J.D. England, and sister Merle Dees. She is survived by her husband, Bill Dismukes; son, David Dismukes and his wife, Judy; grandson, Chris Dismukes; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Melissa and David Pore, and Heather and Britt Hardeman; and two great grandchildren, Courtney Ellen Pore and William Ford Hardeman; all of Austin. Mildreds favorite bible verse, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him (Isaiah 64:4) The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005 in the Great Hall at Great Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Lewis and Rev. Glenn Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Dismukes, Robert David Pore, Britt Hardeman, John Braziel, Don Rangland, Luther Parker, Lonnie Hollingsworth and Rev. Paul Stephens. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Trendsetters IL Bible Class. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideons International, Box 27411, Austin, Texas 78755 or Great Hills Baptist Church, 10500 Jollyville Road, Austin, Texas 78759.
