Mildred Sanders, age 97, of Austin died Friday, July 21, 2006. She was born February 22, 1909 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George W. Fairbrother and Edith Brandow Fairbrother. On March 29, 1929, she married George R. Sanders in Waco, Texas and they were a faithful couple until his death in 1997. A gracious optimist, Millie looked for the best in people and circumstances. She was especially proud of her fifteen years of service as a Red Cross volunteer. Millie enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and entertaining friends she and George made during their life in Austin. Services will be held at 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
