

Monica Gail McKelvey, 58, of Austin, passed away peacefully in St. David’s Hospital on November 26th, 2011 after a several years of battling chronic illnesses. She was born August 19th, 1953 and raised in Austin and graduated from Lanier High School.
Gail was one of two children born to Judson and Dorothy McKelvey. Judson preceded her in death. Gail will forever be remembered by her loving mother, Dorothy; her devoted brother, Jud Dwight; her beloved children, Christopher, Amber, Cody, and Judson Dearyl; her treasured grandchildren, Monica Rose, Andrew Philip, Christian Bryant, Judson Dearyl Jr., Jaiden Lee, and Clyde Luke; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to have known her.
Gail enjoyed many things in her life such as watching Andy Griffith, as well as Game Show Channel, Lifetime Network, putting together puzzles, playing YHATZEE, listening to rock-n-roll music, lying in the sun at the lake, shopping, playing pool, painting, laughing and just being with her family and friends. Gail touched the lives of many people with her amusing personality, generosity, thoughtful gifts, heart-warming handwritten cards, and maintained her trademark sense of humour all the way to the end.
Graveside services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 29th of November 2011, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin.
