Born in Abakiliki, in Ebonyi, Nigeria (Africa) on July 11, 1958, she immigrated to the United States in her 20’s and worked for the Nigerian Consulate and the United States Postal Service in San Francisco, CA. She then relocated to Austin, TX to attend the University of Texas as a nursing student. Despite personal hardships and challenges in her life, her resilience, strength and Catholic faith carried her through as a beloved member of the Austin Community.
She is survived by her cousin Augustine C. Chukwurah, her adopted son Abraham C. Omoke, and her chosen extended family, The Nelsons.
