Nancy Auline Reese Purcell

Nancy Auline Reese October 25, 1913 – October 3, 2007 Nancy Auline Reese was born October 25, 1913 to Sallie Ada Beard and Richard Marion Reese in Arcadia, Louisiana. She was also welcomed by older sister, Louise. Later the family was joined by Marion and James. Sallie died in the flu pandemic of 1918 and left 3 girls and a son. The girls went to live with Martha, Sallie’s sister and James went to live with Gasaway and Ruby, Richard’s brother’s family. Later Richard married Ollie and 2 more daughters arrived, Dorothy and Frances. In 1938 Auline married William Harry Young and they had a daughter, Sally. Auline was widowed after 20 years of marriage to Bud. Later she married Frank Frasher and was widowed after 14 years of marriage. Later she married Randall Purcell and the marriage brought in Randall’s 3 sons, Dalton, Keith, and Randall Jr. She was again widowed after 16 years of marriage. Auline leaves daughter, Sally Young Busboom and special son-in-law, Dean and grandchildren, Eric, Nancy Sarah and Mary. Auline’s great grandchildren are Deanna, Reese, Dylan, Brandon, Hunter, Rosie and Hannah. Also she leaves sister, Frances, as well as nieces and nephews. She also leaves Keith and Randall Jr., her step-sons as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren from the Purcell family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Slaughter Cemetery in Rodessa, Louisiana. Arrangements by Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N.
