

O.V. Grubert, born in Kerr County near Kerrville, TX was the third child of E.H. and Velma Irene Grubert. He passed away on February 25, 2005 at the age of 73, after a long struggle with cancer. Family and friends will have many memories of his enthusiasm for life and his contributions to family and community. He graduated from Tivy High in Kerrville in 1949 where he played on the football team. He attended Del Mar Jr. College in Corpus Christi and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1958, with an accounting degree. O.V. served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a Trust Officer at the Capital National Bank, had an accounting business and was a Developer/Home Builder for a number of years in the Austin area. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.H. and Velma Irene Grubert and special mother, Audrey Meredith. O.V. is survived by his wife, Nean Grubert of Manchaca; his children, Dana Brewer and husband Ronnie of Lexington, Neal Grubert and wife Rayna of Spicewood, Jeff Grubert and girlfriend Lorri Honeycutt of Manchaca, Karla Burke and husband Danny of Buda; grandchildren, Melanie Ramsey and husband Doug of Lexington, Amie Brewer of Dallas, James Brewer of College Station, Staton, Alisa, David, and Amber Grubert of Spicewood, Mason and Alaynna Burke of Buda; great-grandchildren, David and Cody Ramsey of Oklahoma, Shane and Doug Worley of Lexington; sisters, Louise Williams of Lake Jackson, Lola Heimann of Dallas, Linda Canales and husband Danny, of San Antonio, Mary Helen Large and husband Jack, of Maryville, TN; brother, Archie Trammell, of Trinidad, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the funeral home followed by interment at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Robert Markus, Dr. William Myers and the staff of Texas Oncology, including the nurses in the infusion room, and the staff at South Austin Hospital.
