Patricia Dean Scales Henderson

April 9, 1937 - January 15, 2017

Our loving Mother Mrs. Patricia D. Scales Henderson was born in Austin, Texas to the late Llewellyn E. Scales Sr. and Nellie Mae Scales on April 9, 1937. She went on to be with the lord on January 15, 2017. At an early age, she joined Simpson United Methodist Church. She remained a member until her passing. She married the late Donald D. Henderson Sr. on July 23, 1956 and to this union four children were born.

Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her father Llewellyn E. Scales Sr. and mother Nellie Mae Scales. Her brothers Marvin Keys and Llewellyn E. Scales Jr., her husband Donald D Henderson Sr., and daughter Donna R. Henderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Minister Donald D. Henderson Jr., (Janis) of Hutto, Texas. Mrs. Deanna Henderson Peterson, (Glenn) of Bastrop, Texas. Ms. Denise Henderson, of Austin, Texas. Four sisters: Mrs. Barbara Freeman, Mrs. Carolyn Moten, Mrs. Yvonne Scales, (Jim Jenkins) all of Austin, Texas and Mrs. Joyce Finley, (Dave) of San Antonio, Texas: One brother, Mr. Leo Anthony Scales, (Karen) of San Angelo, Texas. Twelve grandchildren: Brandy Terbay, Michael White, Donya Henderson, Quincy Bland, Montee Henderson, Barry Scales Jr., Kathryn Henderson, Kaitlin Henderson, Michelle Henderson, Patricia Henderson Scales, Glenn Peterson Jr., and Alex Peterson. Ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00am on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX.
