

Patsy Ruth (Staner) Wallace, of Austin Texas Formally of Baytown, Texas died Sunday December 21, 2025, in her home at the age of 98. She was born December 5, 1927, in Keota, OK. She moved to Baytown when she was 2 years old and lived there for 88 years of her life before moving to Austin. Patsy was a graduate of Robert E Lee high school and went to Lee College where she focused me on financial accounting.
Patsy was a long-time member of Missouri Street Church of Christ and later a member of Lakewood Church of Christ where she was the church secretory, taught Sunday school classes and music theory classes before moving to Austin. Patsy was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1962. She received the “Golden Circle Certificate” in March of 2012 for 50 years of steadfast devotion to the virtues of Beta Sigma phi. Patsy was involved in PTA, holding several positions during the years when Linda was in school, she was homeroom mother and a Girl Scout Co-leader. She loved cooking, baking and feeding the birds and squirrels.
Patsy is survived by her daughter Linda (Darrell) Vogeley of Austin, TX, three grandchildren, Crystal (Bryan) Foy of Canyon Lake, Texas, Sarah Vogeley of Leander, Texas and Joshua Vogeley of Austin Texas. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Jackson Foy of Canyon Lake Texas. Also surviving is her nephew, Melvin Istre of Baytown Tx and great aunt to Cheri (Brian) May of Arizona and Keri (Eric) Anderson of Dallas, TX.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband J. P. Wallace, Parents Luther and Edna Staner and her sister Louise and Ivan Istre.
A Memorial Service will be held in Baytown at Garth Road Church of Christ, Tuesday, December 30th at 12:00 noon
