Paul Thomas Anderson

Paul Thomas Anderson, 50, was born on September 7, 1964, in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Theodore Robert Anderson and Tillie Magdaline Bachmeier Anderson. He passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, in Austin, Texas.

Paul attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Breckenridge from Kindergarten thru 8th Grade. He then attended public high school in Breckenridge, graduating in 1983. After graduation, he attended Horst Institute of Cosmetology in Minneapolis where he earned a degree in Cosmetology. That same year he moved to Texas to begin his career at Joel for Hair Salon until 2004, where he continued his career as a self-employed cosmetologist at Grapevine Salons.

Paul married the love of his life, Pamela Mylius in 1993, in Breckenridge and shared two beautiful sons, Tristan and Peyton. They shared many memorable and treasured family summer vacations were they spent at Paul’s family’s lake cabin in Ottertail Lake, Minnesota. He loved to travel, golf, snow ski, water sports, softball, and just about any Minnesota sports events. Paul especially enjoyed the Minnesota Vikings and was a proud member of their Austin Texas Fan Club and was an avid Twins fan as well.

One of his most outstanding qualities that he will be remembered for was his big heart for his uncle; Tim and brother-in-law, Ralph who both had special needs but, were absolutely admired in Paul’s eyes.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Ted Anderson; grandparents, Andy and Alvina Anderson and Sig and Katherine Bachmeier; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his beloved family, Pamela Anderson; sons, Tristan Anderson and Peyton Anderson; mother, Til Anderson; brothers, Scott Anderson and Rick Anderson; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at 3:30 P.M., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
