I worked with Paul for many years on various projects. He was the ultimate professional. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family. May God bring you peace as you celebrate his life and memory.

So sad to hear of Paul’s passing. Pam and I send our condolences to the family and especially Kerry. I also had the privilege of working with Paul for several years at Edis Oliver Associates and Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates.
Paul was one of the most dedicated and ethical persons I have ever known. He truly loved his family and God and it showed in his everyday life and in your conversations with him. 
I think one of the best things you can say about a person is that you were better for having met them and seeing how they lived their life. Paul is in a better place now where he knew he was going. Prayers for him and his family.

Paul had a remarkable gift for making every person feel truly heard and valued, no matter their age. I'll always remember his playful spirit with his nephew (my son) Michael and niece Sara when he was a toddler, and how he took genuine interest in everyone around him during family gatherings. I know Paul is rejoicing now in the presence of his Savior.

My condolences Hise family, Mr. Hise was the best stats guy in the game. I have nothing but fond memories of him keeping our books, he was the most mild mannered guy in the stands, until that one time he was kicked out by an ump at Balcones, and we were all shocked. I smile about it now that I’m coaching. I know he leaves an incredible legacy in each of you.

I had the privilege of working alongside Paul for over 10 years at Wiss, Janney, Elstner. He was an outstanding architect and a fantastic project manager, but what truly left a lasting impression on me was his deep love for his family and his unwavering devotion to God. We drove down to San Antonio together several times - I always took the wheel while he caught up on emails (always behind on emails!). During those trips, he would often start talking about Kerry and their kids, and it was clear how much he adored them. When he spoke about Kerry, his eyes would light up with affection. As for his kids and grandkids, they could do no wrong in his eyes. I’ll never forget when he shared the story of how he and Kerry decided to adopt. He said, "We thought about what we had to offer this world, and the best thing we could offer was our love and a family." That conversation has stayed with me ever since, and that's what I think about when I think of Paul. Well, that and our shared love and devotion to the Longhorns, of course. My prayers are with the Hise family during this difficult time. Paul was a wonderful man, and he will be missed.

Kerry, Andrea, Eric, Ryan, & Carly. I am so sorry for your deep loss. Paul was always such a kind and encouraging man. He made deep connections with people, and truly made you feel that he was invested in knowing you. He always greeted me with a smile and genuine interest in what I was doing, even as an awkward teen. He encouraged me every time I saw him. I pray that you feel the peace that passes all understanding, as you navigate this tough time.

I first met Paul in 2003 when he interviewed me for a position at Edis Oliver & Associates.  From the first time I met Paul, I knew he was truly dedicated and knowledgeable in the Architectural field, with a specialty in Roofing and Waterproofing.  Over the years I have learned so much from Paul.  I remember the long nights at the office working with Paul and often listening to UT Baseball games, I remember the many drives we took to San Antonio, and all the personal conversations we shared.  Paul was so dedicated to the industry and truly an Honorable Man in every way.  I am thankful to have the memories we created and grateful for his friendship.  His sincere dedication and loyalty to his family, faith, UT, and his career was truly special.  Paul will always be remembered in my heart.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Hise family.  Paul Hise was a great man and he will be deeply missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. Hook’em Paul!

I worked with Paul fresh out of college at Law Engineering from 1999-2001, and then again when he was at Edis Oliver & Associates. Paul was truly a special person, and such a good mentor in the architectural engineering field. He was so intelligent and attentive to detail, and always available to answer the many questions I had. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I enjoyed working with him for 10 years and appreciated his passion for his family and a shared love for the Longhorns! I also love seeing these pictures of "GrandPaul". I remember meeting people I never knew at my grandfather's funeral from his work life, and it was so encouraging to hear their stories. I regret that I won't be able to make it to the services, but I can assure you  "GrandPaul" was just as good of a man at work also. My prayers are with the Hise family in this time.

What a great loss! Paul was a very kind and wise guide for me in my youth and remained a regular source of encouragement over the decades. I am deeply saddened to hear of his family's loss, even as I rejoice that he has received the fullness of everything he professed to believe.

Paul was a wonderful man with very high ethics and morals.  He loved his family and devoted much of his life to their education and welfare.  
Paul held a deep faith and set an example for his children by the way in which he lived his life. Paul and I worked together for over fifteen years.  Paul was very professional in his dealings with his business clients and received very high praise for his work.  Paul will be deeply missed by his friends and colleagues and, of course, his family. Paul set an example for the way in which a man should live his life.
