

Paul Andrew Hise of Austin, TX passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 68. He was born on September 28, 1956 in Denver City, TX. He lived in Levelland, TX, Plainview, TX, Alpine, TX, and Austin, TX.
Paul graduated from Anderson High School in 1974, the University of Texas in 1978 with his Bachelors of Architecture, and the University of Texas in 1997 with his MBA.
He worked as an architect for 42 years for various organizations including Texas Department of Transportation, Page Southerland Page, Aegis Associates, Environmental Technologies Incorporated, Law Engineering, Edis Oliver Associates, and Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates.
He was actively involved in his high school band (first chair French horn), football, baseball, National Honors Society, and as a member of Westover Hills Church of Christ and Western Hills Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his father Ross Hise, brother-in-law David Fry, sister-in-law Donna Fry, mother-in-law Mary Lee Fry, and nephew Tyler Fry.
He is survived by his wife Kerry Hise, his mother Zora Mae Hise, his children Andrea Whiteside & her husband Paul, Eric Hise & his wife Alison, Ryan Hise, and Carly Hise & her husband Robert Ditzfeld, his grandchildren Ashlyn Whiteside, Ben Whiteside, Casen Whiteside, Avery Hise, Chloe Whiteside, and Jacob Hise, his siblings Clark Hise & his wife Sharon and Laura Hise, brother-in-law Sean fry, and nieces & nephews Joel Fry, Austin Fry, Jacy Cook, Sara Miller, Michael Fry, and Colton Fry.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at St. David’s South Hospital and Brodie Ranch Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday January 10th any time between 4:00pm-8:00pm at Cook Walden Funeral Home at 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin TX 78752 and a funeral service also at Cook Walden Funeral Home Saturday January 11th at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery at 2800 Hancock Dr, Austin TX 78731.
