Margaret Mary Scannell Gage, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 11, 2015. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Austin, TX at 10am Friday, May 15. A celebration of her life will be held following the mass at Longhorn Village, Austin, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Peg’s memory.
Peg was born on June 9, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the eldest of four children born to Margaret and Bertrand Scannell. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Francis and sister, Mary Kathleen.
Peg is survived by Joseph, her husband of nearly 64 years as well as her children, Kathy Breitzke (Carl) of Round Rock, TX, Joseph, Jr. (Sheryl) of Georgetown, TX, Pegi of Naperville, IL and Tim (Carrie) from Tampa, FL. She is also survived by her brother Bert of Philadelphia as well as grandchildren Brian (Melissa), Lindsey, David and Griffin.
Peg loved life and will be sorely missed by her family and many friends from Stuart, FL and Longhorn Village in Austin.
