Peggie O’Neal Myers, 88, of Dripping Springs, died December 30, 2015. Peggie was born November 5, 1927 in San Antonio, TX to Marion and Bessie Colbath and passed peacefully December 30th at South Austin Hospital.
She has a surviving sister, Ruth Miller; brothers, Marion Lloyd Colbath and Roy Lee Colbath. She is survived by son, C.V. Rusty Myers; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Mullins and husband, Michael Mullins; 17 grandchildren; a myriad of great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Peggie is preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and son, Dusty Myers.
She attended and graduated from South San Antonio High School and was married 59 years to her loving husband, Carl Williams Myers, until his passing in 2004. Carl and Peggie moved to Austin in 1947 and started their family. They lived in South Austin until moving to Hays County on retirement. They enjoyed trips to Rockport, visiting family in San Antonio and other parts of Texas. Their home was always open to share life and joy. She was a beacon of kindness and thoughtfulness. Peggie has lived in Dripping Springs for the last 10 years. She loved sewing, gardening, playing dominos, and collecting vintage dishes. She will be missed by family and friends.
