

Rea Wendlandt Wiruscheske, age 90, passed away February 7, 2024. Rea was born in Austin on March 20, 1933 and lived there until moving to Round Rock in 2014. She attended Winn Elementary, University Junior High and Austin High School.
Rea was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Oswald (Ozzie), parents Ludwig and Eda Wendlandt, brothers George Wendlandt and Fred Wendlandt, brothers-in-law Roland Wiruscheske and Marvin Wiruscheske, sisters-in-law Norma Wendlandt, Shirley Wendlandt, Junette Gowen, Waldine Wiruscheske and Pat Wiruscheske, and very special friend Paul Rohne.
Rea is survived by her son Carl Wiruscheske (D.J.), daughter Diane Lloyd (Don), grandsons Garrett (Megan) and Hunter (Marlli) and great-granddaughters Hazel, Emma, Lily and Reagan.
Rea worked in the printing and mailing fields. She loved going to garage sales, doing crafts and working with her many church friends at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Rose at Aventine Assisted Living as well as to special friend Anna Benavides.
The family requests that donations be made to the charity of one's choice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17701 Cameron Rd, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
