Robert Arthur Kopp

Robert Arthur Kopp, 81, of Austin, Texas, passed on February 4, 2025, at the Ascension Seton Medical Center. He was born, January 3, 1944, in Chicago Illinois, to the late Arthur and Frances Straube Kopp.

Robert served diligently in the United States Air Force for 27 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1993. After the Airforce he worked at the Texas Veterans Services, aiding people in receiving their GI Bills benefits. In retirement, Robert enjoyed staying active at the YMCA, spent 12 years delivering meals to families in the community through Meals on Wheels, and cherishing time spent with his family. He enjoyed relating stories of his life to his family and was often accused of embellishing those stories with each telling.

Robert is survived by his spouse Juanelle Kopp nee Seigler of 58 years, his children Janet Golla, James (Samantha) Kopp, and Jenni (Ryan) Tobin, his eleven grandchildren Christopher, Emily, Veronika, Allison, Alexandra, Katherine, Kevin, Logan, Kellan, Keira, and Michael, and his three great grandchildren Patrick, Bridget, and Caroline.

Robert’s visitation will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 9AM to 10Am, at the St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic Church, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10AM.
