Robert Edwin York

Robert was born on March 28, 1961, in Henderson, Texas to Sara (Buckner) York and Edwin R. York, Jr.

Robert is survived by his mother, Sara York, his sister, Elise York McGarrah and spouse Mark, his brother Scott York and spouse Kristin, and his four children, Breanna Lauren York Butler and her husband Michael, Sara Katheryn York Metcalfe and her husband Cole, Anna Elizabeth York, and Zane Edwin York. Survivors also include his two grandchildren, Brantley and Bowen, and six nephews.

After graduation from Corsicana High School, Robert attended The University of Texas, in Austin. Upon graduation, Robert worked for his Dad, Edwin R. York, Jr. and went on to receive his law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Robert began his law practice specializing in family law in Corsicana in 1994. He was a practicing attorney until the time of his death.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, conducted at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with Dr. John Turner, of Hyde Park Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Robert to Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
