He leaves his wife of 47 years, Judy Corwin; his son, Michael Corwin; his daughter, Kimiye Liebman; and his two grandchildren, Oscar and Ruby.
Born in Birmingham, England, the son of Carlton and Elizabeth Corwin, Roger spent his youth in Canada, Minnesota and Connecticut. He later attended Williams College, graduating in 1952 with a degree in Chemistry.
After receiving his MBA from the University of Minnesota, Roger entered the business world, eventually securing a position with Hooker Chemical's international division. He remained with the company (which was later to become Occidental Chemical) until his retirement in 1996.
Roger met his wife Judy while working in New York City, and after their wedding they moved to Brussels, Belgium. Roger's work in international sales and project management took him around the world in the course of his life, instilling a life-long love of travel and learning foreign languages. In his spare time, Roger was active in the Williams alumni association, and enjoyed hunting and reading.
After living in Dallas for over 25 years, Roger and Judy relocated to Austin in 2014, where Roger enjoyed being closer to his son and family.
A memorial service for Roger will be held at 2:30 pm on January 3, 2017 in Austin at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 14311 Wells Port Dr.
