

Ronald LeRoy Call, Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many passed away on January 18, 2023 in Round Rock, Texas.
Ron was born on July 13, 1944, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Ronald LeRoy Call and Dona Peterson Call where his dad, Ron, was first serving in the Army Air Corps training base during World War II. Ron most recently resided in Round Rock, Texas with Linda, his loving wife of 47 years.
Ron always tried his best to live a life of service to God, family, his fellow man, and country. He loved his family and devoted himself in trying to lighten the burden of others. Nobody liked a better joke or laugh than Ron.
Ron grew up in Southern California where he attended Dorsey High School and became an Eagle Scout in Los Angeles, California. He served as a faithful missionary in the North Scotland Mission from 1963 to 1965 for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There he shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ and also served as an Assistant to the Mission President during his time in Scotland.
A student of Brigham Young University, Ron owned Hallmark stores called Little Green Frog in Southern California and served the city of Cerritos, California as a president of both the Optimist Club and Chamber of Commerce.
Ron developed businesses throughout his career as a manager of Sav-On Drug Stores in California and Texas, as the owner of Lotsa Hotsa Pasta and Mokie’s Burger & Things in San Jacinto Mall - Baytown, Texas, and as manager of Stein Mart stores in Austin, Temple, and Abilene, Texas.
As an avid golfer in retirement, Ron was the manager of Tejas Golf in Round Rock and a marshal at Omni Barton Creek Resort in Austin. He enjoyed the time with others on and off the golf course and always had a kind word or a fun joke to share.
Ron is preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Earla Hall Call, and parents Ronald LeRoy and Dona Peterson Call.
He is survived by his loving family; wife, Linda Fay Call nee Hackworth; son, Ronald Call III (San Diego, CA); daughter, Teri Bender (Austin, TX), her husband Kerry and their children Kassidi, and Kaden; son Edmond Call (Ft. Stockton, TX) and Edmond’s children Alexis Gwynn (and her children Parker and Jasper), Eddie Call and sweet Sebastian Call.
Ron is also survived by his six siblings, Julia Ann, Diane, Richard, JoAnne, Suzanne, and Robert.
