

Ronald David Sigur, 68, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Grace House Assisted Living, a loving and caring community in Austin, Texas, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on January 5, 1949 to Carlos Sigur and Pearl Boutte Sigur.
Ron led an interesting and full life as his passions and career led him down many different avenues. Ron entered the Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He then became a police officer under the Beaumont Police Department. He not only earned a degree from Lamar University, but also taught Drafting at Lamar and then found his passion as a project manager of the first local power plants in Texas becoming a world traveler as his passion led him all around the U.S. and overseas to places such as New York, Massachusetts, Alaska, Canada, China, and the Philippines. Through it all Ron stayed a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge in his hometown of Beaumont.
Ron will be sadly missed by his beloved children, daughter, Christina Townsend and husband, Wayne; sons, Matthew Sigur and wife, Jessica and Ryan Sigur; brother, Matthew Sigur and wife, Terri; sister, Suzanne Robinson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Townsend, Bentley Sigur, and Harper Sigur; his companion, Cindy Johnson; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 3:30 P.M., Friday, December 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
