Interment will follow at Elgin Cemetery. Visitation at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. , Monday, January 28, 2008. Rosalie, known as "Rosie" to all her many friends, was the daughter of the late E. Glen Robison and Hazel Griffiths Robison of Gridley, Kansas. She attended Emporia State Teachers College, where she met her husband Wallace "Wally" Lundgren when he was stationed in Emporia during World War II for Aviation Cadet Training. Fellow cadet and legendary Austinite Cactus Pryor introduced Wally to Rosie and later became their lifelong friend. Wally and Rosie married January 29, 1942 and after the war moved to Austin, where Wally finished at UT. They then moved to Corpus Christi where they raised their three children, Butch, Melodie and Candy. Rosie was actively involved in many organizations while living in Corpus Christi, in particular, the League of Women Voters, where she was inspired to run for State Representative in 1964, long before women were accepted as political candidates. She lost the race by the thinnest of margins to the long standing incumbent, and returned to her first love- raising children and grandchildren. She was devoted to her family, especially her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and made a second career out of spoiling each of them. Rosie's positive, cheerful attitude inspired everyone she touched. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Melodie Lundgren Bolton and is survived by her husband, Wallace Lundgren, sister, Joan Robison Mouse, son, Wallace Lynn Lundgren, Jr. and wife Connie , son-in-law Jerrel Bolton of West, Texas, daughter, Candace Lundgren Lochridge and husband, Pat. Her grandchildren are Zachary Lynn Bolton of West, Texas and wife Tiffany, and great-granddaughter Olivia Melodie, Bonnie Blaire Bolton, Abby Lundgren Martin of Waco, TX. and husband, Griff, Ashley Leigh Lundgren of Austin, Eleanor Anne Lochridge of Brooklyn, New York, Patton Greene Lochridge of Telluride, Colorado, Joseph Lundgren Lochridge and Lloyd Wallace Lochridge. Rosie's family extends their deepest gratitude to Marco Uribe, MD, Mark Crozier, MD, the staff of Querencia where she was loved and tenderly taken care of during the last days of her life, and to Hospice Austin for their wonderful support to her family. Donations may be made to Hospice Austin in her memory. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
