Dr. Rosemary G. Webb was born on April 20th, 1937 in El Dorado, AR. She passed away at home in Austin, TX surrounded by her family and friends (and her beloved dogs), on March 13, 2011. Rosemary was many things to many people. She was a loving mother, a loyal friend, a dedicated teacher, an impressive intellectual, a fearless champion of racial and gender equality, a compassionate psychologist, an inquisitive student of different cultures, a whimsical artist, and, generally, a traveler of the path less taken.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Larkin Webb House. She is survived by her son, John D. Webb, of Austin, and her granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth House, of Santa Fe, NM.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 7PM at the Umlauf Sculpture Gardens in Austin.
