

During World War II, she traveled to San Antonio to work at Kelly Field where she met her beloved husband of 59 years, Albert H. Jenson.
From humble beginnings, Ruby and Albert built an interstate trucking company and a brokerage business, Coolidge Grain & Produce and Jenson Brokerage. Ruby was a woman of principle and character who epitomized an honorable and generous woman. She was widely respected and loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Albert; her children, Al Jenson and Ron Jenson; her brother, Clarence Crenwelge; and her sister, Alice Kott.
Ruby is survived by her children, Gary Jenson and wife, Carla Jenson; Carol Jenson and partner, Dana Stripling; Al's wife, Colette Jenson; and Ron's partner, Steve Smith. Ruby adored her grandchildren, Jared Jenson and wife, Hillary Jenson; Justin Jenson; Ryan Jenson and wife, Missy Jenson; Whitney Jenson; and Ian Jenson; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Jenson, Addison Jenson, Wyatt Jenson, and Jacob Jenson. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Faye Kinsel and husband, Dick Kinsel, and Ruth Minix; and brothers-in-law, Bob Jenson and Rob Jenson and wife, Jimaileen Jenson. Ruby also leaves behind a large extended family that she greatly loved.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Wright to officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Honoring Ruby as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Gavin Bittick.
The family extends special thanks to our friends at Hospice Austin for their loving care and support and her caregiver, Betty Motal.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice Austin.
