Ruby Patterson McMeans, age 85, of Austin, passed away April 6, 2004. Ruby was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the South Austin Christian Womens Club and Yaupon Garden Club. She volunteered at St. Davids Hospital for over 10 years. Her husband, Ferrell McMeans, brother, Bill Patterson, and sister, Eloise Coleman preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Penshorn and husband Jerry, of Bulverde, Texas; sister, Gertrude James, of Waycross, Georgia; grandchildren, Jennifer Molitor and husband Jason and Jessica Baumann and husband, Barret; and great-grandchildren, April, Shane and Lena. Visitation will be held from 6:00 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Faith United Methodist Church, Reverend Larry Shores officiating. Interment will be at Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
