Runette M. Longmire

Runette M. Longmire Runette M. Longmire, 85, of Arlington, died October 1, 2003. She was born on December 23, 1917 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Henry B. Martindale and Dulcie Slaughter Martindale. She graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, attended Sullins College, Bristol, Virginia and returned to school in her sixth decade of life and earned her BS degree in Journalism/Mass Communications from TCU. Runette was married to William T.(Bill) Longmire, on June 5, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, computers, duplicate bridge with friends, photography and writing. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Runette is survived by her husband, Bill Longmire; daughter, Vicki Hanna and her husband Ken; grandchildren, Courtney Hanna, Kendall Vealey and her husband Britt; great- grandchildren, Liza Vealey and Beau Vealey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 2nd at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 3rd at Forest Oaks Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
