Born on August 4, 2006, Ryder grew up in Austin, Texas, surrounded by family, lifelong friends, and a community that watched him grow into the remarkable young man he became. He attended Westwood High School, where he formed friendships that will outlast his lifetime. The bonds he built there were rooted in loyalty, laughter, and shared experiences that will forever connect those who knew him.
Though he was the youngest of four, each of his siblings considered Ryder their closest friend. Their relationship went far beyond family — it was built on unwavering support, endless laughter, and a love that will never fade.
He had a deep love for the Texas Tech Red Raider football and basketball teams. Whether cheering from the stands, watching games with family, or celebrating big wins, his passion for the Red Raiders was undeniable. What turned out to be a gift from God, Ryder took this semester off from Texas Tech University to work alongside his father and brothers in the family business. Instead of being away in Lubbock, he was back home in Austin, spending what would become the final months of his life, with his family. His loved ones see this as a blessing — feeling that this time together was nothing short of divine intervention. They are deeply grateful for the precious months they were able to share with Ryder, moments that brought them closer and created memories they will forever hold dear.
Ryder was always the center of the room. His presence drew people in effortlessly, and his laugh — loud, genuine, and completely infectious — could transform an ordinary moment into a lasting memory. He had a gift for making everyone feel included and valued. His warmth filled every space he entered, and his joy was contagious.
He will be remembered not for the way he died, but for the way he lived — boldly, joyfully, and with a heart that loved deeply. Though his life was far too short, the impact he made in 19 years is immeasurable.
Ryder was the cherished youngest child of Cindy and Mike Harrington and the beloved brother of Ryan Harrington and wife Avery, Reed Harrington and wife Alaina, and sister Reagan Harrington. He is also survived by his grandmothers Tricia Chase Haney and Gail Harrington, Cindy’s siblings, Mike Chase and family, Carol Chase Carley and family, Chris Chase and family, Marc Chase and family, and Mike’s siblings, Lori Harrington Butler and family, and Marybeth Harrington Hubenak and family.
A service will be held in Ryder’s honor on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at LifeFamily Austin, 8901 State Hwy 71, Austin, Texas 78735, with Pastor Randy Phillips officiating.
Ryder Blaine Harrington’s light will forever shine in the hearts of his parents, his siblings, his friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
