Sally Lacy Sally Lacy died in her home, on June 12, 2008, after a brief illness. Sally was born to Allen and Sarah Bowers, May 27, 1921, in Humboldt Tennessee. Her husband of 43 years, H.R. Lacy, preceded her in death in 1990. Sally was a long-time employee of the Austin Independent School District and a "died-in-the-wool" Democrat. She is survived by her son, Jim Lacy of Cedar Creek and her daughter and son-in-law Molly Bensinger-Lacy and Frank Bensinger of Burke Virginia, and her grandson James Lacy Bensinger, also of Burke. Sally was fortunate to have lived a long and active life. Her great joys included gardening, bird watching, keeping up with national and local politics, her many trips to Mexico to see her long-time friends, and visiting with family and her many friends. Funeral services will be held at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18. A reception will follow immediately after the service for Sally's wide circle of friends and relatives. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
