Sammy was a master contractor/painter for over 50 years in the Austin area.
Predeceased by daughter Cheryl Carter Towns, brother Buddy Carter. Survived by wife Eva Carter, son Bill Carter & Bill Dunham, granddaughter Amanda & Mike Apperley, great grandchildren Madeleine and Holden Apperley, as well as numerous family & friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from three o’clock until five o’clock in the afternoon, on Sunday, the 29th of June 2014, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A graveside service will be held on ten o’clock in the morning on Monday the 30th of June 2014 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, under the direction of Cook Walden Funeral Home.
