

Sandra (Sandi) Lucille Hidrogo, 81, passed away quietly on February 20, 2023, in the presence of loved ones. Everyone knew mom as a soft spoken homebody in her later years. She grew up attending Lutheran churches but was confirmed episcopal attending Episcopal Calvary Church in Bastrop, TX.
She was born September 18, 1941. She was raised by her parents Orrin and Lucille Olson in Harlowton, MT. She graduated from Kadoka High School and attended college in Rapid City, SD. She went on to hold many secretarial jobs in her life. Her last job as executive secretary for WL Gore and Associates in Manor, TX. She was instrumental in the founding of the Manor Public Library and was on the board and worked in the library until her full retirement.
In her earlier years, she liked to go out dancing and listening to music with her husband Eduardo Hidrogo. She secretly loved the huge family reunions even though she quietly complained. In her later years she loved to stay home, reading, crocheting, fishing and taking care of her little dogs that she loved dearly. She loved sitting in her sunroom, planting and gardening, and collecting elephants.
Sandi is survived by her husband, Eduardo of 41 years; children, Stacy Barker-Hidrogo of Bastrop, TX; Tyler (Dianah) Slawson of Vandalia, OH; Eric (Lovely) Slawson of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Tyler II (Marri), Jasmine and Angie; great-granddaughters, Nellie, Frankie and Ainsley; her sibling, Steve (Jill) Olson of Deadwood, SD. Sandi also survived by her daughter in-law Marcia Reed and family of Brentford, SD.
Sandi is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lucille and Orrin Olson; her son Robert Reed.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will occur at 12:00 PM followed by a reception from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. All services will be located at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752.
