Shirley Ann Bailey Malott, age 66, of Dripping Springs passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2011. She was born on Saturday, February 10, 1945 to Archie C. Bailey and Eura Dean Sprouse in Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers-in-law; and best friend, Anne Walsh.
Shirley was a loving wife for 51 years to Douglas Malott, they were married on February 8, 1960. She was a loving mother to her five children, Terry, Sheryl, Bobby, Robby and Dwayne. She is also survived by her mother, Eura Bailey; two sisters, Alice and Reldie; brother, Curtis; a son-in-law; daughters-in-law; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was also a second mother to many other kids in the community. Shirley was respected by many, loved by all, and she will be greatly missed, but not ever forgotten!
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at First Baptist Church, 203 Hwy 290 West, Dripping Springs, Texas. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery.
