Shirley Jo Orn

Shirley Jo Orn passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the age of 60. Shirley had a heart bigger than Texas, always putting others before herself. Even while she battling cancer and struggling to survive, she was doing for others to the very end. A caretaker and humanitarian unsurpassed. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all, and so very, dearly loved by all, wanting the best for all. Shirley's inner beauty, generosity, and kindness exceeded her exceptional outer beauty as well. She had the most genuine smile and personality, never wanting to be the center of attention. We will miss Shirley more than words can express, but we're at peace knowing she has a special place in heaven, sitting at the feet of Jesus. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Heather; mother, Annie Marian Glass; father, Jim Cook; brother, Robbin Cook; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts; uncles, cousins as well. Shirley is survived by her husband of 25 years, Kevin Orn; Tiffany Snodgrass, daughter; Christopher Lipinski, son; Aubrey Cook and Jim Cook, brothers; Cindy Browning, Lesa Ortiz, and April Cook sisters and spouses; Colby Snodgrass, grandson; Amanda Lipinski, granddaughter. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish, 2620 South Congress, Austin, Texas 78704. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel.
