On March 21, 2025, in the quiet peace of her home in Liberty Hill, Texas, our beloved Sinhee Joseph was called home to be with the Lord. She passed away in her sleep, just as she lived—with grace, faith, and tranquility.
Born July 21, 1953, in Busan, Korea, Sinhee was the cherished daughter of Rev. Jong Sun Kim and Pil Ae Kim. A woman of unwavering faith, Sinhee’s life was a beautiful reflection of her love for God and others.
On October 18, 1979, she married the love of her life, James D. Joseph. Their union was blessed with a son, Edward Joseph, born on December 11, 1981. Sinhee was a devoted wife and mother—gentle, nurturing, and deeply proud of her family.
For the past decade, Sinhee worshiped and served faithfully at Austin Korean Presbyterian Church (AKPC), where she was a cherished member of the community. Her devotion to God guided every part of her life, and her spirit uplifted all who knew her.
Sinhee had a passion for the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, often alongside her beloved James. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine love for people left a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Joseph; her devoted son, Edward Joseph; her brothers: Rev. Thomas Kim and his wife Grace Kim, Dae Hee Kim, Sung Hee Kim and his wife Jung Ae Kim, David Kim and his wife Rebecca Kim; her sister-in-law, Yun Kim; her brother-in-law, Paul Strohm, husband of her late sister, Soon Hee Strohm.
A Life of Faith. A Heart of Gold. A Legacy of Love.
Sinhee’s radiant spirit, loving heart, and enduring faith will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and church community. We celebrate her life today with reverence, gratitude, and peace, knowing she now rests in the arms of the Lord.
A visitation for Sinhee will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
