Solomon Arkeen

Mr. Solomon “Jae” Arkeen, Jr. born on February 21, 1961 passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at his home in Paige, Texas at the age of 42. He was born to Patsy Ann Arkeen and Solomon Arkeen, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. Jae was a counselor for the Texas Youth Commission and a noted therapist with achievements in forensic counseling, substance abuse treatment and criminal rehabilitation. He was also a gifted writer and had a passion for learning. He was preceded in death by his mother and partner, Chuck Drake. Jae is survived by his godson, Mason Coy of Austin, best friend and adopted brother, Les McNulty of San Antonio, close friend and former business partner, Sona Nast of Austin and numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Jae’s incomparable spirit and energy will live in the memory of all the lives he so richly touched. Jae indeed was a beloved character, a true “card” in the deck of life.
