
Stella Richards White, age 85, of Garfield passed away Friday, October 8, 2004. The last of two Garfield, Texas beauties of World War II, is now in Heaven. She was a proud descendent of a Texas pioneer family descending from the 1800s; ranching and farming land, being a helpmate to her husband and family. Stella was a strong willed woman with deep roots in her native soil of Texas. She was beloved by her family and many friends.
We must remember our Lord and savior has taken Stella home to be with her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Frank William White; father, John Richards; mother, Rosa LaFonte Richards; sister, Noreen Richards; nephews, Johnnie Richards III, and Weldon; sisters-in-law, Ann Richards, Bernice Boatright and Mary Childress; brothers-in-law, Ernest Childress, Roy Boatright and Ben Templeton.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary White Kalina and Rocko Ruedin; two grandsons, Darrell Wayne Kalina and Johnie D. Kalina, Jr. and wife Melissa; four great-granddaughters, Megan, Lauren, Katelyn, and Madison Kalina. She also leaves behind, her brother, Johnnie Richards; nephews, Rodger Templeton and wife Doris, Rodney Templeton and wife Lea, Clovis Boatright and wife Ann, and Dale Childress; niece, Nelda Reyes; and sister-in-law, Louise Kluma.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 10, 2004, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 11, 2004 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress. Interment will follow at Haynie Chapel Cemetery in Garfield.
