He is preceded in death by his parents Florentino and Patricia Castro; sister, Torivia Olmos; brothers, Pete and Florentino Castro Jr.; son, Abel Castro Sr.
He is survived by his wife Tommie G. Castro and children; Steve Castro Jr., Sylvia Casanova, Rosalinda Quintero and husband Rocky, Sam Castro Sr., Herman Castro and wife Barbara, Edward Castro and wife Irene and Jerry Castro; sisters, Julia Garcia and Adelina Tovar. Along with 26 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday October 29, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, at San Jose Catholic Church, in Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
