Susan Joy Stern

Susan Stern Hutchinson died surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 6, 2025. According to her wishes and planning, Susan will be buried next to her parents in Austin. The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery (2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, TX 78731). Section 12, Number 12 in the Agudas Achim Cemetery Section.

Susan is predeceased by her parents, Harry (Zayda) and Adabelle (Mama) Goldstein; and her brother Stephen Richard (Stevie) Goldstein. She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend James (Jim) H. Hutchinson, III.; daughters Shauna French and her husband Bif French and Courtney Pomerantz and her husband Randy Pomerantz; her stepson James (Jimmy) H. Hutchinson, IV; her grandchildren Abigail, Avery, Brooklyn and Dylan; her cousin Stuart Goldstein; and her niece and nephew Jourdan Goldstein and Taylor Goldstein; as well as a wide circle of family and friends who were blessed to be part of her life.

A Celebration of Life will take place Monday, February 10, from 2 - 7 p.m. which includes a Shiva service at 6:00 p.m. officiated by Rabbi Mathew Michaels at Susan and Jim’s home, 5115 Junction Cliff Ct, Fulshear TX 77441. The family welcomes everyone to join them and knows Susan would absolutely love that we will all be together celebrating her.

In lieu of cut flowers, the family suggests something we can plant in her garden or donations to the charity of your choice in her memory.
