

Sybil T Brady, 87, passed away peacefully September 13, 2011 at her home at Marbridge Villa. She was born in Soperton, GA on July 24, 1924. She was the second youngest of 6 siblings. She was raised on a small family farm until she graduated from Soperton High School in 1940. She was a devoted military wife who settled in El Paso, Texas when her husband retired from the US Army in 1967. She moved to Austin in 2002. She was involved in her church, ProMusica, and volunteered her time with various organizations. Her hobbies included golf and bridge. She traveled to many parts of the globe. As a hostess she epitomized southern hospitality. She was married to Bruce M. Brady, Jr. for 54 years. She and her husband Bruce were a part of the "Greatest Generation". She is survived by her son Bruce M Brady, III of Midland, TX, her daughters Colleen Brady and Barbara Ann Gottlieb of Austin, TX, her granddaughters Tara Noelle Ryklin of Paradise Valley, AZ, Bradie Ann and Jenna Danielle Gottlieb of Austin, TX and her great grandsons Maksim Daniel and Evan Brady Ryklin of Paradise Valley, AZ. Also, in loving memory of her grandson Kirk Mathew Brady. A special thank you to Hospice Austin for guiding us through this difficult time. A memorial service will be conducted at ten thirty in the morning on Saturday, the 17th of September, at the Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 5226 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX, 78749.
