Teodora R. Vasquez

Our beloved mother Teodora R. Vasquez, age 95, born January 25, 1913, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Resting surely in the arms of her Savior, we celebrate the life of a beloved mother, grandmother and faithful friend. Teodora Vasquez was a life member of Templo Bethel Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luis Vasquez, Sr. Teodora is survived by her seven children, (three sons and four daughters) Albert Serrano Sr. and wife Annie, Magdalena Torres, Virginia Solis and husband Abdiel, Noemi Estrada and husband Ignacio, Luis Vasquez, Jr. and wife Lupe, Sam Vasquez, Sr. and wife Mary, Rachel Gonzales and husband Ben; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Honored to serve as pallbearers, are her grandsons, Oscar Torres, Joe Solis, Pete Acosta Jr., Albert Vasquez, Sam Vasquez Jr. and Eden Gonzales. Albert Serrano III will be the honorary pallbearer along with the grandchildren. The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Pete Garcia and all the staff at the South Austin Rehabilitation Center and the Angel Heart Hospice as well as those that visited her and gave love and kindness to our beloved mother during her life. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 7, 2008 with Reverend Josué Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
