

Teofila Ramirez, also known as Mia, 63, of Austin, TX, passed away on the 23rd of March 2023. She was born to parents Lucia Villatoro and Lorenzo Medina, on 6th of January 1960 in Canton Tulima, El Salvador.
Teofila worked as a Director of Child Care for 33 years. She chose this career to be fully devoted in raising her own children. The children she watched were like her grandchildren to her. She impacted several generations in her lifetime.
She was a great mother who cared deeply for her family. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She supported children living in poverty in other countries. She was the president of a daycare association, coordinating continuing education for daycare providers. Most of all, she was loved and respected by many people. She inspired all to live a happy life and was always there when you needed her.
Teofila met her husband, Luis Ramirez, in 1982. They got married on 4th of July 1984 in Austin, TX. Together they raised 4 children: Luis, Javier, Karina and Amy.
Teofila is survived by her husband, Luis Ramirez; her children, Luis Ramirez Jr, Javier Ramirez, Karina Ramirez, and Amy Villela; her grandchildren, Mariah Gonzales, Ayvah Jones, Lylah Jones, Dean Ramirez, Janden Villela and Juliyan Villela.

Rosary on the 29th of March 2023 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home (6300 W William Cannon, Austin, TX 78745)
Public Visitation will be from 5pm-6pm. Rosary will be from 6pm-8pm.
Mass Services at 10am on the 30th of March 2023 at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (126 W Oltorf St., Austin, TX 78704)
Mausoleum Placement at 11:30am at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park (6300 W William Cannon, Austin, TX 78745)
