

Terry Dean DeVilbiss Sr. was born in Perry, Oklahoma December 19, 1938. His family moved to Austin in the mid 1940s where he attended Fulmore Junior High and was in the original class of Travis High. He enjoyed sharing his 50th class reunion with many of his high school friends. He attended UT and SWTSU where he met his wife of 43 years, Margaret Catherine Kay Caldwell. From their union, two wonderful sons were born, Terry Dean DeVilbiss Jr., and Harley Caldwell DeVilbiss. Terry worked for the LCRA from 1960 to 1995. Most recently he has enjoyed several years of consulting employment for Schneider Engineering, Inc. in Boerne, TX. He played a number of years of football with great passion. He enjoyed sports and kids and combined these passions in coaching little league football and baseball. He was instrumental in building and lighting the Garrison Park ball fields. He later worked with the Del Valle Athletic Booster Club where his sons participated in various sports. Over the last several years, Terry enjoyed traveling and the camaraderie of his family and their Manx and Cymric cats. Terrys faithful cat Minusdetails Short Assets was always by his side. Terry is preceded in death by his parents Harley and Dorothy DeVilbiss, a number of family members and his son Terry Dean DeVilbiss Jr. Terry is survived by wife, Kay DeVilbiss; son, Harley DeVilbiss; sister, Jill and husband, Monte Land; granddaughter, Katie Volding; many family members; in-laws; nieces and nephews; and many precious cats that have been a big part of his life.
