He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized early. He sang in the youth choir and served in many other youth departments.
Thearthur joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 21. He completed tours in South Africa, North Korea, Germany, as well as in the United States.
Thearthur departed this life on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thearthur Sanders Sr. and Hazel Mae Elizabeth Jackson; his grandparents; one younger brother; and two step-grandchildren, Joseph Johnson and Ivory Lanelle Wills.
Thearthur’s life will forever be cherished by his wife, Monalisa Sanders; son, Reggie Sanders; daughter, Teasha Sanders; and stepchildren: Lawrence Wilson, Rev. Jasper Johnson, Latiffany and Dwayne Willis, Jasmine, and Tremont Boulden Calvert. He is also survived by grandchildren: Re’Jinae Sanders, A’maya Sanders, Adrienne Sanders, A’Kil Bowie, Marquis Wills, Jada and Jamalya Johnson, Arri’ana Wills, Armani Muhammad, Caiden Reed, and Jewel Johnson. He leaves behind a host of brothers and sisters, nieces, and nephews.
