Theresa graduated from high school in Seminole, TX. She earned a degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX (where she met future husband J Lee who had returned from WWII). Once J Lee had earned his BBA he joined the United States Air Force where he and Theresa spent the next 27 years. During that time Theresa and J Lee lived in Florida, New Mexico, French Morocco, South Dakota, California, Washington DC, Spain, Alabama, Oklahoma (where son Bryan and daughter Joanna came into the picture), Japan and Massachusetts. When J Lee retired in 1972, the family moved to Lubbock, TX and then on to Austin, TX in 1973. While J Lee worked in the construction business and then fully retired, Theresa spent her time in many organizations (Friendship at Hyde Park Baptist Church, the American Association of University Women, etc) and enjoyed shopping, cooking (both of which she was very good at!) and art exhibits (especially with her sister Carol Hunter). Theresa and J Lee also traveled the country in their van and have enjoyed their friends and family ever since.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and daughter. She is survived by her son Bryan Lee Robbins of Austin,TX, Bryan’s wife Shelley Lyn Robbins of Austin,TX and her sisters and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren……Michael Wall of Rockdale, TX, Megan Wetzel of Austin, TX, Addison Robbins of Austin, TX and Madison Robbins of Austin, TX as well as many friends, extended family members and neighbors. Her life was made much better by the fine care given to her by all of the Seton Hospitals, the Texas Home Health Hospice team, the Sagebrook Health Center team, Dr. Sam Key III, Dr. Michael Pellegrini and many more health care providers. Daughter in law Shelley Robbins and nephew Pat Robbins (who spent much of his early life with J Lee and Theresa) have been an invaluable and tireless presence in Theresa’s life and are treasured members of the family. Neighbor Don Thorp is without compare and his company has been enjoyed by all of the Robbins family for many years.
