

Thomas graduated from Round Rock High School in 1971 where he played baseball and football, then later went on to attend college. Thomas worked in various fields throughout his life, including working as an electrician, HVAC Handyman and master builder with Brath Construction. Thomas later retired as a master carpenter for KC Union and retired due to health in 2010. Thomas loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He loved to dance and listen to 60’s and 70’s music and always enjoyed playing cards with his friends.
Thomas’ proudest moments in life were the birth of his children, marrying Deborah, working in law enforcement, reconnecting with Michael and his heart transplant of 2010. Thomas was a member of The White Church Christian Church in Kansas City, Kansas, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Kansas Chapter, was a Deputy with Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department for ten years as well as with Williamson County Sheriff Department for one year and was an Elder and Vice President of the board for White Church.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 34 years, Deborah Miles, children Melissa Miles- Robinson of Frisco, Texas, Michael Miles Robinson of Carrolton, Texas, Kristopher Miles-Robinson and wife Sarah of McKinney, Texas, and Brian Riley Miles of Larwill, Indiana, Brother William (Bill) Miles and wife Lucy, Step Sons Ryan Holgerson and wife Sandra, Chad Holgerson and wife Melissa all of Austin, Texas, Nephews Jeremy Miles, Jonathan Miles and wife Jennifer. Five nieces: Samantha, Jennifer, Kimberly, Heather and Sarah. Grandchildren Michael, Kristina, Meagan, Valerie and August, all of Austin, TX, Kristopher and Cecelia Robinson.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Delmar Miles and Mary Frances Miles, and sisters Carol Herrera and Frances “Lynn” Miles-Jones.
An internment service will take place on April 23, 2022 at Pecan Creek Cemetery in Plano, Texas.
