Toby Nadler Gossen, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her home in Austin, Texas. Toby was born in Sioux City, Iowa on June 13, 1924, the daughter of Joseph and Fannie Nadler. She married Sam Gossen in July 1945 and shortly thereafter moved to San Antonio, Texas. Toby was a lifetime member of Hadassah and was very active in the Jewish community. Toby is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Harry Nadler and Isadore Nadler; sister Gert Zeplain; and the late Sam Gossen. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Robin Gossen; her daughter, Faryl Paez; four grandchildren, Melissa Paez, Lance S. Gossen, Brent Gossen and Seth Gossen; her sister Pearl Gossen of San Antonio; and many nieces and nephews around the country. Funeral services and interment will be held at noon on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Congregation Agudas Achim Memorial Gardens, 1727 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, with Rabbi Leonardo Bitran officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed to a charity of your choice.
