

Tony Estanislado Sedillo, 85 of Smithville, was born in Austin, Texas on Saturday, May 7, 1938. Tony left this world to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, July 23, 2023. On his final days, Tony was at home surrounded by his loving wife, Frances, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved and adored more than anything.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Monico Sedillo and Dolores E. Sedillo, brothers, Louis E. Sedillo, Candelario Sedillo, Gill Sedillo and sisters, Maria Banda and Rafaela Marquez. He is survived by his wife Frances Sedillo, sons Abel Sedillo, wife Deanna Sedillo, Louis Sedillo, wife Cecilia Sedillo, daughters, Linda Sedillo Morrill, Irene M. Edelen, husband Greg Edelen, Frances Munguia, Rosemary Oliva, husband Manuel Oliva, Dolores Luna, Antonia Kiger, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family members.
Tony retired as a truck driver from Sysco Wholesale Corporation after 30 years of dedicated service.
Throughout his life, Tony enjoyed all sports, but his favorites were baseball, softball and football. In his younger years he coached a men’s softball team winning many trophies. Tony also enjoyed gardening, growing many of his own vegetables and sunflowers all while maintaining a beautiful yard.
Tony was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s many accomplishments. He loved telling people that he and Frances “did a great job raising their children”.
Pallbearers include grandson’s Matthew Mendez, Frankie Mendez, Daniel Yocum, Robert Cisneros, Jacob Luna and Gill Pina.
His celebration of life will be held at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 2620 South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. The visitation and rosary will be held on Monday, 7/31/2023 from 4 to 8pm. Church services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 1206 E. 9th Street, Austin, Texas on Tuesday, 8/1/2023 at 11am. Following church services, Tony will be laid to rest at the Hornsby Cemetery located at FM 969 (Webberville Road) in Austin, Texas.
