Travis Blake Humphrey

Travis was a beautiful, inspirational soul that touched so many people in this world.

Those of you that knew him know of his many struggles and how he overcame and always left them smiling and joyful.

Travis you will always be in our hearts. We will love and miss you dearly.

Birds with broken wings

Flop, and struggle on the cold ground

So far below the unreachable sky.

Wanting and straining, but unable to fly

They struggle each moment forward

Until, finding a small, safe place

With brave, exhausted hearts

They lift their heads and sing

Thus teaching us the depth of darkness,

From which light can spring.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services for our beloved Travis will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks.

Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Assumption Cemetery located at 3650 South IH-35. Due to limited parking, please consider carpooling to the cemetery.
