Victor Manuel De La Cruz

Our Beloved, Victor Manuel De La Cruz, 58, of Austin, TX passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Victor was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, godfather and an amazing friend.

Victor is survived by his wife Jeanne of 40 years; daughters, Vicki De La Cruz, Jessica De La Cruz, Jaime (Jonathan) Garcia and Jennifer (Rudy) Roland; eight beautiful grandchildren that he absolutely adored, Desirae, Cierra, Lynzee, Isaiah, Matthew, Noah, Nicolas and Madelyn; he also leaves behind his mother, Angelita De La Cruz; brothers, Eulalio, Arnulfo, Raymond, David, Robert; sisters, Margaret and Juanita; and many loving godchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Victor was also known as "The Beer Man" worked in the beer industry for 30+ years. He enjoyed sports and played softball. He was an avid fan of traveling to different cities/states to see his grandchildren play the sports they loved. If he wasn't at the ballfield, you could always catch Victor going to the movies. He enjoyed BBQing and being the life of the party. Victor was always there with a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Victor had no enemies and strangers became friends upon contact. He taught us how to live life to fullest with laughter and pranks. He left us with lessons in love, patience and his willingness to always have fun. We will be greatly missed by everyone.

Visitation and Rosary will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Weed- Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Dolores Catholic Church at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
