Wanda Gustafson

Wanda grew up in Kempner, Texas and graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1944. She later moved to Austin to go to beauty college to become a beautician. She owned and operated Wanda's Beauty Shop, a neighborhood beauty shop in West Austin, until the shop closed in the early 1980's. While in Austin, she married the love of her life Leonard on August 13, 1949. Wanda was a devoted member of Kinney Avenue Christian Fellowship Church since the late forties.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Leonard Gustafson. Survivors include two sons, Paul Gustafson of Augusta, GA and wife Brenda Gustafson and Jerrel Gustafson of Austin, TX and wife Diane Gustafson; two granddaughters, Sarah Gustafson and Rebecca Gustafson. She is also preceded in death by 1 sister, Edna Ruth Taylor; and 5 brothers, Willard Vernon, Roy Haskell, Woody Jack, Floyd Arthur, and Alfred Bourland Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78705.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Kinney Avenue Christian Fellowship Church located at 1801 Kinney Ave, Austin, Texas 78704. The burial will occur at Capital Memorial Park in Pflugerville, Texas.
