Psalm 23:

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul;

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;

Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me;

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;

Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I always said that my Dad had a "Heart of Gold" He was a kind soul that saw only the best in people, never the worst. He is now surely in Heaven, reunited with my Mother. He battled with Kidney disease and dialysis treatments for the last three years, and had his good days and bad. Diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer this past January, went through the Chemo treatments but the cancer was too advanced and aggressive. The doctors did the best they could and kept his pain to a minimum. He had pain but did not suffer in the extreme. He was extremely proud of his military service, serving two tours in Vietnam and earning several medals including a bronze star. His only regret was he did not have more time to see and visit all of his many friends and family members especially "his babies". He will be sorely missed on earth, But welcomed as a shining star or the new Angel in heaven.
