Anne Betty Stone Hindle

March 15, 1928 - May 3, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Betty Hindle at the age of 89. Betty was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on March 15, 1928 to her parents William Stone and Mary Agnes Fahie. She was predeceased by 7 sisters and 4 brothers. Betty is survived by her sister Aileen Irvine, and her brothers Frank and Kent (Marie). Betty married Ralph William Hindle (1924 - 1997) in Halifax on April 26, 1947. Ralph served in the Army and together they raised a family and travelled across Canada. Loving mother of Mary, Teresa (Peter Stanley), Pat (Gord Boswell), Ralph (Tracy McCoeye), Steven (Lynn Giles), Dale (Kelly-Anne Lamb), and Alan (Peggy Findley). Devoted Granny of Jennifer and Tyler Wilson, Sarah and Victoria Stanley, Phillip, Tiffany, and Tonya Boswell, Mandy Hindle, Elizabeth, Laura, and Tegan Hindle, Adam and Alex Hindle, and Samantha and Anne Hindle. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Alan Gibeau (1.1.1), Samantha (1.1.2) and David Sandberg (1.1.3), Amelia Wilson (1.2.1), Warren (2.1.1), Molly (2.1.2), and Russell Cook (2.1.3), Elena Boswell (3.1.1), Henry (5.1.1) and Walter Carson (5.1.2). Mourned also by our "brother from another mother" Paul, and our "Jamaican Granny" Lena. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Mass to celebrate Betty's life on Tuesday, May 9 at noon in St. Mark's Church in Aylmer, QC, followed by a light lunch. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the charity of your choice would be welcomed. Condolences can be shared at
