“A LEGACY OF LOVE”
On March 10, 2022 Carole Frederick went home to rejoice with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Carole had been hospitalized in 2021, and then moved to long term care. Due to multi organ failure, her body could no longer fight, and she is now no longer in pain.
Carole spent her entire life devoted to caring for others. It did not matter your station in life, or where your life journey had taken you, She just loved you! Carole spent many years lovingly caring for folks at the Perley Rideau Veterans Hospital, and giving her time and heart to the Nazarene Church in Ottawa, Loving and giving defined her very being
Carole leaves behind a legacy of love, a legacy cherished by her adoring husband Claude. She is also deeply deeply missed by her Daughter Tina, and her son Glen, Carole was the light of their every day, especially in her last few months as they tirelessly cared for her and spent precious moments by her side.
Over her life, Carole built a fortress of friends who were always there for her as she was there for them, Rachel Stevenson, Carole’s dearest friend for over 40 years, would spend weekends up at the trailer with Carole laughing, eating and sharing stories of life and children, Rachel was always there for Carole and loved her like a sister! Lyne LaFontaine, the squirrel lady, as she is affectionately known, because of her rescue of injured animals, was initially one of her care givers, and then became a dear friend. They would shop and go for meals together. Carole was so grateful for the precious times they spent together.|Trish, who she met at the Perley Rideau also became a life long friend who shared so much with her. Carole touched every person she met. You were always better off for having spent time with her!
The evening before Carole went home, her bed was surrounded with so many who loved her so much! Her sister Lynn North, Her brother Richard Frederick, Her precious Grandkids Alex Belanger, Thomas, Lemens, Isaiah Lapierre, and Noah Mongeon. Even though her Granson James Becker was not able to be there, his heart was right there with her! Her loving husband Claude Mongeon, who prayed with her as she went to Heaven, Her son Glen Mongeon and his partner Candice Cservik, and her daughter Tina Mongeon, who cared for her every day in her last few months. There was enough love in that room to make even Angels Sing
We are going to miss her oh so much! The pain of this loss will never go away, but time will heal some of the sting and replace it with beautiful memories. God made one of his greatest treasures imaginable when he made Carole, and now she is sitting at the feet of Jesus, Resting in her Salvation through Grace!
There will be no more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again, singing praises to the Great I am, Carole lives by the light of the Risen Lamb!
